Transylvania University Athletic Field Partnering with Oheil Irrigation Co, Buckeye Lawn & Landscaping is pleased to have completed the landscaping portion of the Transylvania University Athletic Field , bringing to life a space for student athletes and the surrounding community to both celebrate and compete in. Considering this needed careful planning, creativity, and high all-around quality materials for years of service, durability, and appearance. One of the best features of the is our upgraded irrigation that was installed in the field by Oheil Irrigation Co., which we are planning to cover every part of the field only with water. To provide a lush, green playing surface that can endure heavy volumes of foot traffic but also consume the lowest possible amount of watersustainability was keythe team mixed and matched several drought-resistant grass species. The designs also included cost-effective opportunities to enhance the aesthetics and improve local biodiversity by integrating strong indigenous perimeter landscaping, including trees and shrubs. And careful consideration went into ensuring that transition between the athletic field and surrounding areas a space where walking paths and seating zones were designed for people to gather and partake in recreational activities. Of the difficulties encountered throughout the , none was as daunting as the uneven landscape of the site. Utilizing topsoil of the highest quality paired with precision grading techniques, the team was still able to achieve a nice level playing surface. The finished product is a beautiful sports field that fulfills the functionality needed by Transylvania University's sports teams while still acting as a place for community events and other recreational designed activities.
