About This Project

Challenging Landscaping/Hardscape on a slope Philip and his wife, Jennifer, owners of Buckeye Lawn & Landscaping, recently collaborated with the folks over at Oheil Irrigation Co., to complete a beautiful landscaping and hardscaping on a daunting hill in the middle of Centerville. Our clients wanted something both beautiful and functional, so this was designed to utilize the steep site for a usable and picturesque outdoor space. Our experienced team created a multi-level landscape with natural stone retaining walls to stabilize the slope and bring a rustic and earthy feel to the property. This meant the use of high-quality materials including local limestone, which is not only durable but also allows it to fit perfectly into the environment. We installed colorful perennial gardens with local, top performing plants which promotes biodiversity and sustainability. The first consideration was drainage on the slope, since water running over the slope has the potential to cause erosion and water damage to the . Boulder Design carried out the following: a custom Oheil Irrigation Co. installation (suppressing drip lines with strategically placed drainage channels) and the rain garden champion, redirecting excess water through and keeping hardscape and landscape features intact over many generations. The end product was nothing less than amazing. The former empty and problematic slope is now a beautiful outdoor space with stone paths, seating areas, and plants that offer seasonal focus throughout the entire year. The clients were elated with their new space and enjoyed how well the hardscape and landscape elements worked together, as well as our professionalism and craftsmanship. This demonstrates both the skills of Buckeye Lawn & Landscape along with Oheil Irrigation Co. but also our dedication to quality work above client standard.
