Recap: Walkways & Steps from Green Spaces Landscaping At Green Spaces Landscaping, we think it's important to improve the beauty and functionality of every outdoor space. Our latest "Walkways & Steps" showcases what we do best: quality and design, in the beautiful locations of Bellevue and Mercer Island. This included a series of thoughtfully designed walkways and steps that improved the aesthetics of the property as well as increased accessibility. We used high-quality materials like natural stone pavers and durable concrete, that are withstanding time and the elements. The warm undertones in the stone aesthetically complemented the rich layers of the flowering plants, allowing for a seamless transition between hardscapes and softscapes. One challenge that we dealt with was the grade of the property since it was quite steep. Rather than build a traditional path, we created a tiered step design that was safe and visually compelling on a sloped path. Both exterior and interior seeds and foliage were incorporated as well, at the edges of the walkways to compliment the surrounding nature and provide a natural aesthetic for pollinators. The result was a beautiful and stunning design that built a very happy client with fresh walkways and steps, that will provide access to different areas of the garden space and will give them a chance to experience their outdoor space in its entirety. They will be able to enjoy their garden from every angle, whether it's a party on the lawn or a simple walk through their enhanced property. Green space landscaping will continue to serve the communities of Ames Lake, Beacon Hill, Beaux Arts Village, and other neighborhoods with a passion for quality craftsmanship and thoughtful landscaping.
