Montecito Hideaway | Designer: Eye of the Day Perfecting the Art of Outdoor Living: Eye of the Day's '+Montecito Hideaway+' Confidently Set in the Solitude of Laguna Beach Nestled amidst nature, the modern elegance of this transformative landscaping venture makes for a serenity retreat. Home to an impressive palette of California native, drought-tolerant succulent and flowering perennial plants, the is sustainable and beautiful throughout the seasons. The property sat on steeply sloped terrain with unique drainage and soil characteristics that required a clever solution from our skilled team. We used stunning natural stone retaining walls, creating a wonderful visual presentation from local materials elements that not only look great but work hand-in-glove with the land. A twisting decomposed granite path beckons guests to wander, winding them through gardens that feature custom-built outdoor lights that cast a soft, friendly glow in the evenings. The highlight of this oasis is a well-furnished patio fitted out with stylish, durable, weather-resilient teak furniture that is great for entertaining or just for being quiet. A stately fire pit, flanked by ample seating, encourages socializing, and carefully-positioned boulders serve a purpose and double as art. The end product is a stunning picturesque landscape that captures the spirit of the California lifestyle, extending a personal haven for the homeowners to cherish as they relax outdoors, transform their outdoor living place into a vantage, and be surrounded by the outdoors. The client has been thrilled with the quality craftsmanship and attention to detail which has made 'Montecito Hideaway' a true testament to Eye of the Day quality landscaping throughout the South Orange County area including areas such as Aliso Viejo, Dana Point and beyond.
