About This Project

Woodland Garden by Cambium Inc. Located right in Seattle, Cambium Inc. recently completed the Woodland Garden that bridges nature withcrafted beauty. We were excited to work in the charming Seattle neighborhood of Ballard. This beautifully showcases Cambium Inc.'s dedication to quality and innovation in landscaping. The space includes an array of native plants, with an emphasis on ferns and wildflowers, selected specifically for their thriving potential in the Northwest climate. Natural stone pathways were utilized by our professional team to flow between the various garden areas, offering an aesthetically pleasing and practical solution. A custom-built wooden pergola offers a quiet gathering space with climbable vines that bloom colors throughout the seasons. One of the major challenges we faced was the sloped site with subpar soil composition. Through careful site grading and the use of rich compost and mulch, we were able to turn the site into a thriving growing environment. Water management was also a priority. A rain garden was installed to capture runoff water, operating the in a sustainable manner while preserving a viable space for local wildlife. The end result is a beautiful Woodland Garden that evokes the senses and provides a retreat for our clients. Between the plant selection and the unique design, this adds a significant amount of property value while developing a sense of place in nature.
