Shrub Pruning by Citruscapes Lawn & Landscaping Recently, Citruscapes Lawn & Landscaping successfully completed a shrub pairing in the beautiful neighborhoods of Citrus Springs and Hernando for the purpose of highlighting the natural beauty of the client's property while promoting healthy growth. Our pruning crew completed a detailed assessment of the shrubbery on-site, paying particular attention to the shrubs' overgrowth and how that impacted the aesthetic quality of the landscape. Using high-quality tools and techniques, we pruned azaleas, boxwoods, hollies, and other shrub types, and gave each shrub the attention it needed to ensure proper care. It is also important to mention that we only utilized sustainable landscaping practices in our work by utilizing organic fertilizers and a pruning technique that would minimize environmental and shrub stress. One of the obstacles the pruning crew had to overcome was the dense growth of invasives in areas that were growing amongst the shrubs, and, while the overall height of the shrub may have been in the way of unused vegetation, the crew carefully navigated throughout the foliage to mechanically remove invasive species while keeping the integrity of the supported plant. After the shrub was previously overgrown, the intricacies of the pruning plan stratified the shrub to allow sunlight and nutrients to reach the core of each shrub, while the same process aided for the structured trimming of the shrub. The transformation was immaculate. After the shrub pair testing was complete, the client was very happy with the overall revival of the landscape and continued to express delight with the beauty and character of the garden from each shrub.
