Patios, Walks, Walls, & Drives by B.B. Barns Landscape Services Set in the beautiful backdrop of Asheville and western North Carolina, B.B. Barns Landscape Services recently completed a unique job titled "Patios, Walks, Walls, & Drives." The landscaping beautifully took the outdoor space and transformed it into a destination where function and beauty coalesced. The had an elegant flagstone patio made from handcrafted, local stone that blended with the natural surroundings, creating a gorgeous outdoor gathering place that will last. Winding stone walkways were installed to provide a way to wander through lush gardens and were designed with permeable pavers to help drainage while providing an inviting path. Retaining walls were installed to create definition for gardens. We constructed these sturdy walls with natural stone, inspiring a way to design around the slope of the property, creating terraces that added depth and stability while avoiding soil erosion. Our team carefully crafted the walls while navigating the degrees in the property and still maintaining a sense of structure that felt organic. To add color and texture, we added plantings that flourish in the Western NC climate. The native selection required very little maintenance and provided an ecological habitat that engaged the client and provided a garden that changes organically throughout the year. The end result is a spectacular garden that created the vision of the client and yet went beyond expectations. B.B. Barns Landscape Services created an outdoor oasis with patios, walks, walls, and drives that invites both the enjoyment of nature and relaxation. The created an extraordinary initial look at property and expands the functional outdoor use for gatherings to reflection and solitude; a true showcase of Asheville, NC's natural beauty.
