Ondine on Juanita Bay Vireo Design Studio, LLC is proud to present the "Ondine on Juanita Bay," a remarkable transformation that combines nature and contemporary design. Located along the shoreline, this residential landscaping exemplifies our workmanship and attention to detail that we provided to clients all over the greater Seattle area, including Bainbridge Island, Bellevue, and Mercer Island. This was defined through the innovation involving our use of native plants, selected to thrive in the Pacific Northwest climate. We combined a diverse range of lush ferns, colorful flowering shrubs, and ornamental grasses to create an ecosystem that would not only attract beneficial wildlife but offer a visually appealing property year-round. The 's design also included permeable paving stones, both for aesthetics and empowering drainage systems, while addressing soil erosion and water runoff concerns. One of the primary obstacles we faced was the slope of the property, which required thoughtful terracing and erosion control. By integrating naturally occurring boulders and repeating walls composed of local stone, we created usable spaces that flowed toward the bay. In addition to Habitat, these features supported soil retention and created postcard views for the clients to appreciate along the water. The outdoor living rooms highlight functionality, including expansive decks made from sustainably harvested hardwood for entertaining and relaxation. Fire pits with native landscaping were integrated to allow the family to enjoy the evenings with friends and family under the stars. The overall outcome is a gorgeous landscape that represents the dreams and desires of our client while respecting the way we love Juanita Bay. The careful balance of hardscape and softscape has become a charming paradise that is a delight for the clients and welcomes our attention.
