Glenmont by Redbud Development A in the beautiful landscape of Gansevoort, NY, Glenmont captures the ethos of Redbud Development’s dedication to quality landscaping. This extensive residential remodel included every design element necessary to create a space that is functional and delightful. Glenmont features a custom outdoor living space with a stone patio built from bluestone sourced locally where possible. The stone patio acted as a strong, elegant foundation for outdoor gatherings with family and friends. Surrounding the patio are perennial gardens filled with color and texture during bloom season and plants that bloom through every season. Native species of plants were utilized in the gardens to improve site biodiversity and sustainability. A major hurdle during the design and installation of this was the extreme slope on the property. Redbud Development used the slope as an opportunity to install a series of terraced garden beds made from local boulders and reclaimed wood to create charming retaining walls. This retaining wall solved the drainage problems while maximizing usable space in the back yard and created a better lawn area for family fun. Glenmont included an efficient irrigation system to help sustain each plant with the right amount of water daily. A pond with a small waterfall was added as a final Touch to promote birdlife to the site and create a retreat for homeowners. Ultimately the Glenmont was a perfect balance of beauty and functionality, leaving our clients overjoyed with their newly created oasis. The attention to detail, quality craftsmanship and understanding of client preferences and needs made this a highlight of the areas we service, Gansevoort, Greenfield Center, Saratoga Springs, Schuylerville, Clifton Park, Lake George, Niskayuna, Guilderland, and Cooperstown.
