Seabeck Pond

Seabeck Pond by Brookside Landscape and Design Brookside Landscape and Design are proud to present Seabeck Pond, a beautiful located in the scenic surroundings of Seabeck, Washington. It is the result of our unimaginable attention to detail in creating beautiful outdoor living spaces that reconnect with nature. We transformed this backyard from a bland landscape into a beautiful backyard getaway that integrates a soothing pond with the lush native plantings along with some amazing hardscapes. The centerpiece of this includes a beautifully formed pond. We used natural stone to outline the pond just under the lip of the water. We carefully selected a variety of aquatic plants for the pond (in addition to almost 60 waterlilies) that enhance biodiversity while providing a habitat for wildlife. It looks amazing, and we built an air system to create some aeration in the pond. Now, the pond serves as both a visual centerpiece and an ecosystem that promotes diverse wildlife. One of the most daunting tasks for us coordinating the steep topography around the pond area. Our professional crew excavated areas using grading methods to generate tiered areas that would provide a seamless transition from the grade of the yard to the pond as well as taking advantage of usable spaces outdoors. Since the tiered seating areas and the pond were designed to maximize the yard, we utilized the natural boulders combined with decorative gravel paths to direct owners through the landscapes. To add more diversity to the area, we chose several native shrubs and perennials that provide showy blooms throughout the seasons. Additionally, we illuminated the area with low-voltage lighting just enough to make the landscape glow in the evening. The end result is an incredible landscape that exceeded the vision of our clients, creating a workable space to be and to enjoy.
