Summary: Stairs Stepped Entry with Polished Stones Gravel and Green is excited to announce our latest landscaping creation, the “Stairs Stepped Entry with Polished Stones,” for a very special client in Santa Monica. This beautifully changes the entryway for a contemporary home into a stylish centerpiece that provides utility and beauty. This includes a series of tasteful and functional stair steps, each with their own custom design, comprised of high-quality polished stones that reflect sunlight on the California coast. The depth of the stair steps provides visual depth, but, more importantly, makes accessing the home safely and stylishly a joy. The polished stones are locally quarried and naturally beautiful and highly durable, which allows the materials to withstand the elements without losing their exquisite surface. The provided a unique challenge in integrating the stairway harmoniously within the existing garden and not disrupting the integrity of the surrounding area. Our team worked diligently to incorporate lush greenery and native plants that work with the polished stone and contribute to an overall hardscape and softscape feel. The overall layout creates curb appeal, but most importantly, it creates a welcoming entry for guests. We also placed functional lighting throughout the stonework to help illuminate the entry in the evenings, creating yet another welcoming element at night. The effort in detail and finishing quality led to a wonderful entry space that has spurred joy in our client and compliments the charm of the overall property.
