Summary: Seattle Mid-Century Modern Home At Modfountain.com, we pride ourselves on transforming outdoor spaces into beautiful landscapes that are in tune with the architectural style. Our , one of our most recent, was designed for a residence in Seattle, WA built in the unique style of Mid-Century Modern. Located in Seattle, the home has nice clean lines and large glass windows making the outdoors accessible from the interior space. Therefore, we created a tranquil outdoor setting that fits the style of the home. Using a combination of materials found in nature, we created stone pathways, chose native plantings to represent the ecosystem within the surrounding community, and used stones to give a natural feel to the space. One of the biggest challenges was dealing with the steep slopes. We created terraced garden beds that are a source of interest, where we can make The space workable with high drainage capabilities to utilize nature. We chose plants that can withstand drought, remain looking beautiful year-round, and provide great interest with forms of salvia and ornamental grasses. The centerpiece of the property is the beautiful water feature sitting in the center of the property, a modern pond that resonates with the home's architecture, complete with a water enclosure that is as calming as it is an architectural element. The water feature also provides another layer of intrigue and interest, in the forms of wildlife. We left the homeowner feeling excited their outdoor living space, and we were also excited the garden we created. The whole was unique and used appropriate measures of sustainability to give it true mid-century modern experience. We can always appreciate a landscape with originality and grace.
