Summary: X2 Modfountain - Westport, CT The X2 Modfountain introduced by Modfountain.com is a fresh new which transformed the outdoor living environment for the specific client in Westport, Connecticut. This broke the mold for landscaping with it's integration of modern design and nature into a peaceful oasis. At the heart of the X2 Modfountain is a tasteful water feature. The centerpiece is a contemporary styled fountain, a modern take on what a fountain should be, where the relaxed sound of water cascading down will bring peace to the outdoor experience. We selected, locally sourced stone veneer that complements the natural surroundings around the fountain to bring experience and style that is durable. We also chose eco-friendly, low-voltage LED to highlight the fountain at night giving the garden that magical touch for evening enjoyment. The steep grades of the property were one major design consideration. The solution was to develop a tiered approach to plantings weaving in a diverse blend of native shrubs and perennials. Shrubs such as lavender and hydrangeas and ornamental grass were selected for interest while ensuring soil stabilization along the grades with a low maintenance feature. We also developed a custom stone pathway that took you through the garden experience. The pathway that meandered throughout was constructed using natural blue stone intented to create access for safety but designed simply to enrich the overall aesthetic of the design. This stunning landscape accomplished the goal of the client which was to create a sense of calmness and classical finesse to outdoor living experience. The overall design achieved the overall vision of the client and transformed the outdoor living space into an amazing experience using the Modfountain, plantings, and landscaping features into a personal retreat that provided enjoyment for the client while also enriching value all around the outdoor living experience.
