### Vegetable Gardens by Garnet Valley Farms Here at Garnet Valley Farms, we just wrapped up an ongoing we were thrilled to work on that revolved around vibrant, vegetable gardens built for families in our service areas (which includes Arden, Aston, and West Chester). We wanted a food source that was also sustainable, but we also wanted a nice outdoor space that embodied a healthy lifestyle and family togetherness. The included lots of custom built raised garden beds made from locally sourced rot resistant cedar. Every single bed was carefully oriented to maximize exposure to the sun and drainage to promote plant health. Companion planting techniques were used, which increase the productivity of our crops while also deterring pests naturally, keeping the gardens thriving through the growing seasons. A good deal of the challenge for us was the soil quality that was already present at some of those locations. Unable to work around this, our soil specialists performed extensive tests of the earth and developed the ideal growing landscapes with organic compost and topsoil rich in nutrients for a healthy yield. The end result was a set of vibrant and productive vegetable gardens that our clients enjoyed and supplied with an abundance of fresh produce everything from tomatoes and peppers to greens and herbs. Perimeter roads of lavender and rosemary scented the air and formed fragrances within the garden boundaries to further enrich the beauty of the landscape. Every piece of this symbolizes our values of quality and sustainability, allowing these vegetable gardens to focus not only on feeding but also on being the beautiful and functional centerpiece for families to entertain and enjoy the outdoors. This is proof that Garden Valley Farms gives an opportunity for nature to unite families and in offering them spaces that heal the body and soul.
