The fire restoration project in Newnan, Georgia, transformed a severely damaged home located in a picturesque golf course community. Originally impacted by a fire that started from a battery charger in the garage, the renovation sought to restore the home while enhancing its overall design and functionality. Key design choices included the addition of both new covered front and rear porches, which not only improved curb appeal but also provided inviting outdoor spaces for relaxation and entertainment. To achieve a more streamlined and modern aesthetic, the roof lines were simplified, featuring a new shed dormer on the left side and the strategic placement of a new bedroom over the master suite, eliminating the risk of having a bedroom above the garage. A striking stone facade was incorporated into the front elevation, significantly updating the home's appearance and providing a sense of permanence and style. Inside, the kitchen underwent a complete re-design, moving away from the cramped and outdated octagonal layout of the 1990s. The kitchen was opened up to seamlessly connect with the living room, creating an inviting atmosphere ideal for both daily living and entertaining guests. A side entry was introduced, complete with a covered porch, leading into a functional mudroom area outfitted with lockers for practicality and organization. The craftsmanship displayed throughout the project reflects a commitment to quality and attention to detail. All design work was meticulously executed in 3-D, allowing for a comprehensive visualization of the final outcome prior to construction.
