Covering a wide area from Great Barrington to Lee to Pittsfield, we are advocates of sustainable landscaping practices. Careful choice of quality organic fertilizers, appropriate for local soil conditions and for local grass types. Our horticulturists first performed a thorough assessment of the soil health on the previous site and ensured they knew the perfect mixture of nutrients needed to allow the plants to thrive. Instead, we took a comprehensive approach with natural compost and nutrient-rich amendments that nourished the lawn and the ecosystem supporting it. This was a challenging landscape as well, as the lawn had been previously treated with chemical fertilizers which had damaged soil quality and biodiversity. The challenge for our team was to overcome this by developing an aggressive soil renovation program with aeration and oxygen/microbe activation through a build-up of organic matter the soil environment could be revived for a lawn to flourish.
