A Backyard for Entertaining in North Main We are happy to introduce 'A Backyard for Entertaining in North Main', a beautiful that celebrates both functionality and beauty, created for the home owner in the North Main area. Our group undertook the of transforming the under-utilized outdoor space, into a welcoming location for gathering and relaxing. The began with a detailed site analysis where we identified the important area of improvement and enhancement. We installed a spacious multi-level patio with high quality natural stone pavers continuing the indoor convenience outdoors. This outdoor living area inlcudes a built-in fire pit that will host families on even the most chilly nights, in surrounding seating that promotes conversation and interaction. In addition, we planted a variety of native shrubs and perennials to provide year round color and native biodiversity experience. We incorporated a custom pergola constructed from sandy, weather resistant wood allowing the space to embrace an elegant statement in addition to giving shade from our North Main summers. An additional challenge of the sloped backyard was also truly worked into the design by utilizing tiered landscape and hardscape. This morphed a problem into a feature. This tiered area created problems with draining water but added layers of depth and complexity to the overall. The placement of decorative boulders and a winding path navigating guests to the lush and growing seasonal flowers added a journey aspect to a visitor's experience. In the final component, the home owner selected energy efficient LED lighting under pool concrete pavers or along pathways. This featured invited evening sitters out to enjoy the surroundings that would soon after reflect the brilliant colors of our North Main Carolina seasons. This backyard has created a daydream for our home owner and what it means to be able to afford to entertain in this outdoor space.
