About This Project

"In the Works" by JWK DESIGN Located in the center of Greenville, the "In the Works" landscaping demonstrates the art and craftsmanship that makes our team at JWK DESIGN who we are. Serving clients from Berea to Travelers Rest, this shows our dedication to changing outdoor spaces into beautiful retreats. This began with the vision for a functional and beautiful landscape that would grace the property while respecting the natural features of the landscape. After careful consideration of our client's interests, we designed a sophisticated landscape that combined native plants with hardscaping and water features. Using durable stone pavers and natural granite boulders, we created inviting pedestrian surfaces and comfortable spaces for clients to sit, relax, and gather in their exterior spaces. One of the main obstacles for this was the very uneven terrain on the property. Our skilled staff leveled the landscape, all while recognizing and preserving the current ecosystem. We pride ourselves on enhancing biodiversity in the landscape and creating sustainable landscape practices. Incorporating climate-appropriate and drought-resistant plants allowed for a reduced amount of water used while still enhancing color throughout the seasons. The highlight of the is a beautiful koi pond, located to act as a peaceful focal point in the landscape. Surrounded by lush ferns and a mix of wildflowers, this oasis enhances not only the beauty of the landscape but also provides habitat for the local wildlife and positively contributes to the ecosystem. When completed, the client was thrilled with the new space - their outdoor living was transformed, they had exceeded their expectations, and the property was enhanced. "In the Works" is representative of who we are at JWK DESIGN in terms of quality workmanship and creativity. Anyone can see the results of our work.
