Landscaping with an Inuit Flair, managed by Eagleson Landscape Co. Eagleson Landscape Co. is excited to present its , ‘Landscaping with an Inuit Flair’ a truly unique outdoor based on the artistry and adaptability of design associated with a culture born in the Arctic. In the suburbs of Carmel, Noblesville, Sheridan, Westfield, Whitestown, Zionsville, Indianapolis, and Fishers, Indiana, our team successfully modified the backyard of a suburban residence to create a beautiful space inspired by representation of the Inuit and their landscapes. The landscape was masterfully designed to include natural stone paths, indigenous plantings, and soft water elements, all assembled together to represent the raw beauty of the northern wilderness. We used natural granite boulders that were found in central Indiana to represent the beautiful iconic stone features as the center of the landscape, and also used native grasses and flowering plants to add color and encourage biodiversity. The unique water feature was durable enough to simulate a glacial stream providing the clients a visual focal point and the ability to observe local animals moving in and out of the water. One of the obstacles helped the team to develop terraced garden beds for both design and site conditions. The property had significant grading differences within the yard and terraced beds provided functional drainage but also created scenes of beauty for the client while providing conditions specific for planting. The design also included a sustainable irrigation system where it was necessary to ensure plants had moisture and for conservation. Overall, the completed landscape was a stunning representation of the work completed by the team and the effect it created for the clients. The clients now have a calm escape in their backyard reminiscent of both the beauty of nature and the calmness from flowing water. The seating arrangement is intertwined with plant material to provide guests a private retreat.
