Pathway In The Woods - Pathway In The Woods is a wonderful example of landscaping that makes a raw forest area a welcoming to outdoor experience, featured by Ganshert Nursery & Landscapes. The highlights our attention to quality and creative design in the scenic landscape of Madison and surrounding areas of Dane County. At the heart of the is a mellow stone path that winds its way through the dense undergrowth linking different outdoor areas. In selecting durable, natural stone for the surface of the walk, we used a locally quarried flagstone to help it blend in with the landscape. The stones are arranged in a natural composition, drawing visitors on a journey of exploration past towering trees and lush vegetation. We planted native groundcovers, ferns, wildflowers, and ornamental grasses that look great in all four seasons while supporting local ecosystem health. Where uneven terrain and dense roots determined pathway layout, precise planning and expert means brought a scaled and accommodating walkway that respects a reality of the existing lay of the land. Lighting also played a pivotal role during this . To light the stones as well as enhance the foliage around them, subtle, low-power LED detail lights were sited along its length to provide evening magic during an after-dark walk. "Pathway In The Woods" has finished off a beautiful combination of working with nature that our client was really pleased with. This tranquil retreat not only beautifies the property but also promotes outdoor adventure and recreation.
