This is a stunning compliment to the architectural integrity of the home, whilst harmonising with the surrounding natural landscape. Our team started with a careful analysis of the original entrance, which did not speak to the home’s craftsman style, nor its elegance. Using locally mined flagstone, we created an interesting pathway, one that brings out the hues of the earth, blending with the look of the home. A gently winding footpath leads to the front door, bordered by a colorful succession of blooming perennial gardens. Additionally, we added more custom wood to the space, such as a custom arbor structure with climbing vines and seasonal flowers. This features vertical interest as well as adds to guest comfort. We also added low-voltage landscape lighting so the path was illuminated and the craftsmanship features would be highlighted in the evenings. We had specific challenges, like dealing with the slope down to the front door. Our team of professionals had engineered tiered planting beds where boulders transitioned from one level of well-drained soil to another, creating an attractive solution with a functional solution. This enhanced accessibility and also created terrain in the landscape. Several weeks of work later, the end result is incredible.
