Aquatic Sanctuary FINALIST: 'Aquatic Sanctuary' by Devore's Land & Water Gardens This residential 's transformation into a tranquil space looked beautiful. From Beckett Ridge all the way to Atlanta, GA, our team was set on building an aquatic and terrestrial landscape setting that both the homeowners would love. At the heart of the sanctuary, a beautiful multi-level pond with a waterfall spills into a calming koi pond. The pond system utilizes natural stone and sustainable materials to not only increase beauty but also create a healthy environment. We had to deal with existing drainage issues and was not a fundamentally suitable site but our craftsmen overcame these immense challenges and ensured the water features work in harmony with nature. We have included a variety of native aquatic plants, like water lilies and cattails, around the pond to attract local wildlife and bring a splash of color. Flagstone leads you in a winding path through thick flora to small seating spots within each new relaxation space where the family can use new land. We have also added gentle LED lighting that lights up the water features at night enhancing the overall ambiance. The outcome is a stunning oasis that truly embodies serenity with the clients being able to escape the stresses of everyday life. The Aquatic Sanctuary is just one more example of the kind of high-quality workmanship and attention to detail that DevoreLand & Water Gardens prides herself on. This was a quintessential example of a functional design that delighted our clients as they stepped into their new outdoor paradise.
