Kensington Modern JUNIPER LANDSCAPE COMPANY Kensington Modern How do you transform a dated, traditional backyard into a modern functional outdoor living space? Tucked away in the heart of Kensington this has been completely transformed into a truly unique living space through clever modern architecture and landscape practice to meet the needs of our high-end clients. One of the first hurdles our team had to overcome was the graded slope of the site, making it necessary to implement creative grading to achieve flat areas to entertain and unwind. We chose smooth line pavers of high quality and paired them with natural stone walkways for elegance that lead the eye and complement movement through the property. A custom-built retaining wall not only gives structural strength, but also serves as an eye-catching feature in the landscape. Native & drought-resistant plants were incorporated for sustainable low maintenance. Planting lush succulents with ornamental grasses with flowering perennials to develop a beautiful continuous palette throughout the seasons. Featuring a contemporary fire pit with lounging distance with comfortable seating, that was made using reclaimed wood and it welcomed family stars underneath the stars Water features were another element of this a long, contemporary linear fountain that creates a soothing sound and serves as a major focal point in the backyard oasis. We scaled the irrigation system to use the least amount of water necessary to keep plants living and thriving. The end product is a beautiful outdoor area that exudes modern luxury and prioritizes eco-friendliness. Our client was very excited to have an inviting landscape that gave them not only an area to enjoy the nature but also an area to entertain guests while being surrounded by nature.
