FALL COLOR | Designs By Elizabeth. → Welcome to Designs By Elizabeth where we take pride in making your outdoor space the stunning landscape that is meant to be in harmony with nature. Recent excellence within the Greater Houston area (Conroe, The Woodlands, and Cypress) Fall Color. The goal was to build an updated version of fall to add beauty to the home and create a retreat for owners in Autumn, and this landscaping was lofty from the start. The design consisted of deciduous trees, grasses, and perennial flower beds that displayed the warm colours of red, orange and golden autumn foliage. The was also remarkable for the choice of advanced materials. Once we decided to tackle the grass, we decided our plants would have to be native, so they would not only survive in this climate but would also consume a lot less water. The system had various decorative stone pathways crossing through the garden in a somewhat winding manner to create functionality as well as aesthetics. We also used a few other natural boulders and some mulch to achieve a more natural looking surface along with an overall softer texture. One of the bigger challenges we had to conquer was the very hilly land we are on. Using sophisticated grading techniques, our experienced team levelled areas for planting while retaining the original undulations of the land. Conscientious work on drainage and access allowed the landscape to grow, and thrive. The end result was the clients were thrilled by the end product, a stunning fall view, with no sign of the construction previously done to gain this outdoor living environments that can be enjoyed all year round. This is then augmented by the addition of some cozy seating areas with in-direct lighting being used for ambience, making the result into an ideal family and friends gathering space in the 'Fall Color' . Designs By Elizabeth has once again executed a high quality and beautiful landscaping that will help beautify the Greater Houston area by combining aesthetics with functionality.
