Shaded Entryway by Zach's Lawn & Landscaping Zach's Lawn & Landscaping is now introducing the 'Shaded Entryway' , an amazing enhancement to the flow and aesthetic of our client's home, located in Fairway, Kansas. This focused on blending beauty with function and creating an entryway that is inviting and peaceful to enjoy. The design creates an overall plan that combined native plants and a durable hardscape. As we all know, the Midwest weather can be tough on any plant, especially sun-loving ones; we strategically selected shade-tolerant plants of varying heights, such as hardy ferns, hostas, and selected flowering shade trees to help cool the entryway from the Kansas sun, while providing a brilliant color array for each season. In addition to the plantings, we installed a stone pathway that leads to the front door, using locally sourced flagstone to enhance durability and aesthetics. One of the main challenges we encountered with this was a lot with grading and drainage of the slopes. After discussion with the client, we determined to incorporate a drainage system that was subtle yet worked very well in mitigating any findings of water into the entryway. It is important to note that all the we converged for the drainage highlights our commitment to quality and longevity in each and every we take on. In the end, the entryway is absolutely beautiful and depending on the time of day, a perfectly shaded area to relax, defining the home, and containing inviting experiences. The client was very happy with the final product, stating how fortunate they felt everything came together for a lovely blend we could work with just above the overgrown plants into a welcoming space for both family and friends!
