Vineyard Estate Located in the natural beauty of the rolling hills of Monterey County, 'Vineyard Estate,' designed by Michael Rosenberg Landscape Architecture, embraces the fusion of nature and design. The serves the Santa Cruz, Monterey, and Bay Area and involved redesigning an expansive vineyard property into a sophisticated outdoor escape that echoes the client’s vision of serenity. The had a complicated library of native drought-tolerant plant material in a variety of palette that was chosen with precision for sustainability and aesthetic appeal. A storytelling of lavender borders, wildflowers, and edible herb gardens contributed beautifully to the artful landscape. Custom stone paths from local granite add elegance and rustic charm to the layout. One of the biggest challenges our team faced was organizing the property’s sloped condition. The grading and terracing created usable outdoor spaces while respecting the existing vineyard. Our talented team created a carefully conceived, multi-tiered layout, with an outdoor dining area, that allows guests to appreciate the neighbor’s vineyard while enjoying the surroundings of the hills. The pergolas and seating were built with reclaimed wood to lend the authentic feel of materiality suited to the site. We were proud to maximize quality in aesthetic beauty and eco-friendliness. The end results of Vineyard Estate are functional outdoor living spaces threaded with lush greenery while capturing the essence of California’s natural beauty. The clients were thrilled with the design and loved their new serene retreat, for friends and family, which embellished their home’s value.
