River Meadow - Stack Rock Group :: Creative Landscape Architecture Located in the stunning landscape of Idaho, Stack Rock Group's River Meadow beautifully illustrates the marriage of natural beauty and innovative design. Stack Rock Group is honored to serve the communities of Boise, Eagle, Garden City, Meridian, Sun Valley, Salt Lake City, Jackson Hole, Park City, and Montana, and has converted this enormous site into a tranquil escape. The demonstrates a thoughtful use of native plant species, sustainable materials, and usable outdoor living spaces. A custom pathway made of locally-sourced flagstone winds throughout the site, allowing for views of gardens with wildflowers, ornamental grasses, and carefully arranged native shrub planting designs. The design takes consideration of the natural topography of the site to create tiered seating spaces with a view of the adjacent river. One of the main challenges of this included managing the drainage of the site to mitigate erosion and control the natural direction of water. Stack Rock Group drew on their landscape architecture expertise to create a sophisticated rain garden system, with permeable pavers and bioswales, to not only take into consideration the function of the landscape, but also to manage a subsisting ecology. The final product is stunning outdoor space that compels people to enjoy it and entertain. The juxtaposition of bold colors, textures, and the sound of water creates a balanced landscape. The client expressed they're thrilled that the design met the vision, but also exceeded expectationsmaking a gathering place for family and friends. River Meadow serves as an example of Stack Rock Group's craftsmanship and creative problem solving, and truly stands out in their legacy of exceptional landscape architecture.
