Lee Residence - Palm Springs The Lee Residence , completed by Hermann Design Group, truly represents the ultimate marriage of modern architecture and desert resilience. This could not be more centrally located within the vibrant Palm Springs community; furthermore, the landscapes are designed to address the region's unique climate challenges while providing an oasis of rest and relaxation. This includes a stunning collection of appropriate desert native plants, including agaves, yuccas, and bright desert colors, that enhance the visual experiences while adhering to good sustainable practices. To further creatite your quirky and welcoming outdoor spaces, we added a considerate and detailed hardscape. There are pathways and patios created using local sandstone that fits right in the natural desert. This practical application of material provides durability against extreme sun exposure and random rain storms. One of the notable challenges was the steep slope of the lot, which needed creative grading and retaining walls to maintain proper drainage and accessibility. Hermann Design Group worked skillfully and strategically to design tiered garden beds that served both functions thereby enhancing the landscape visually, whereby each plant caught your eye in their respective areas. In the end, the was a balance of function and form, with its water feature that provides pleasant sound and wildlife interactions, and a fire pit area for night time gatherings. Later the client expressed sincere satisfaction with the transformation of their garden as well as, the experience throughout the , and how well the landscaping blended and related to the architectural style of their home. Hermann Design Group performed to complete a lucrative outdoor retreat to enhance the landscaping at Lee Residence while still holding true to the sustainable practices we strive for.
