Charlotte Checkerboard Courtyard Completed By: SecureTurf - Charlotte Landscaping Experts Located in the heart of the bustling Charlotte community, the Charlotte Checkerboard Courtyard showcases SecureTurf's premium landscaping capabilities. This backyard was transformed from ordinary space to an extraordinary courtyard that seamlessly mixes functionality with beauty. At the center of the courtyard is a checkerboard pattern laid with top-of-the-line pavers and natural stone all impeccably laid out to create an aesthetically pleasing layout for fun and relaxation. Bob and Amy selected perennial flowers and lush plantings that surround the courtyard; these selections contrasted well with the design plan to create a space full of life and lush color each season. A major challenge was the elevation of the yard. Our team worked hard to carefully grade and plan for drainage in the backyard before landscaping began to construct a plan that allowed for drainage of water and no erosion of the yard. To do this, we installed an attractive drainage plan that went unnoticed by the client. This took away the worry of flooding and would protect the courtyard integrity with the elevation changes. SecureTurf built a custom seating area using sustainable wood, along with lighting to enhance functionality in the yard. Bob and Amy can now host family and friends for outdoor dinners and visits while experiencing the joy of their suburban garden. The end result was better than the client envisioned. The Charlotte Checkerboard Courtyard is an impressive outdoor space that is equally beautiful and functional. This represents SecureTurf's craft and design capabilities and commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, and it raises the bar to now landscape Charlotte and beyond.
