About This Project

U-City Fireplace & Patio by Petra Masonry Located in U-City, the 'U-City Fireplace & Patio' by Petra Masonry turned an ordinary backyard into a beautiful outdoor retreat. Our design and construction team transformed the yard into a beautiful outdoor space designed for function and aesthetics to serve as a gathering spot for family and friends. Using top-grade materials toe include natural stone, durable pavers, and premium-grade fire-resistant bricks, we constructed a cozy fireplace that is functional for all four seasons and draws attention to being the focal point of the yard. The patio area has a variety of patterns and textures giving beauty and durability to age well. One challenge involved grading and the sloped site. Our build team developed a multi-level patio to add elegance as it grooves to the slope of the site and matches the natural transition from inside the house to outside the house. This clever design maximized usability space while accomplishing the natural flow of the landscape. In the end, our client could not have been happier with the results. A blend of comfort and style, complete with interesting landscaping and lighting, was fitting for all of their twilight gatherings and revealed natural beauty of the fireplace.
