The Water Garden by EnviroscapeLA | Located in the coastal community of Manhattan Beach, EnviroscapeLA recently wrapped up the Water Garden , a beautiful transformation of a traditional backyard into an aquatic paradise. The sustainable landscape design marries function and beauty with a balance of hardscapes and softscapes. Water features, plantings, and materials combine to create an aesthetically pleasing design and restore environmental performance. In the center of the Water Garden is a delightfully constructed koi pond that is naturally surrounded by stones to create an environment of serenity. We planted water lilies, lotus flowers, and a wide variety of native aquatic plants around the pond, which attract and support wildlife, as well as being beautiful. You hear the waterfall cascade, which strategically placed makes the space well-lived in aesthetically for your senses. That meant EnviroscapeLA had to be creative in integrating the water features, some of which were pumped/siphoned up from the pool into the ground, in with the existing landscape all while maintaining proper drainage and water levels. Our seasoned team employed sustainable materials permeable pavers and reclaimed wood, for instance, to impart environmental integrity without a loss of sophistication. The result is a stunning hideaway with a private escape for the clients away from daily life. Our clients rave how the Water Garden enhances their outdoor living space and helps the local ecosystem.
