Clarksville TN Target Green Completed by Collins Turf Division Collins Turf Division has recently completed the ‘Target Green’ landscaping in Clarksville, TN, an initiative that has revitalized the outdoor environment of Clarksville, TN. Our team was tasked with the challenge of transforming an exterior site in Jacksonville and the surrounding areas into a verdant, inviting green space that is compatible with the surrounding area and eye-catching. Our first step was to conduct a full site investigation and analysis related to the topography and soil conditions. The team chose a specific mix of native plants including ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs, and perennials to ensure sustainability and low-maintenance, and we offset the living landscape components with durable hardscape materials by implementing natural stone walks and decorative boulders as accents. One of the challenges of targeting a green space was dealing with the undulating contours of the site, so we had to consider grading possibilities and determine techniques suitable to improve the flow of the total landscape. Dispersing runoff water and eliminating erosion became the focus, while working within the limits of the site. We successfully managed the challenge using basically landscaping procedures, as drainage was our top protocol while maintaining flow. We finished our Target Green by implementing a system of irrigation that would utilize water wisely and properly grow plants. The ’s crowning achievement is our unique central garden, an impactful statement which is filled with seasonal blooms and comes alive to pollinators for future blooms. We can now implement our double design which exceeds the client’s requirements and provides a site that can be memorialized as a relaxing and enjoyable space. The ’s result culminates product quality and attention to detail. The showcased nature’s beauty while further improving the functional implications of an outdoor space. The response from the client is a direct reflection of our overall mission and vision at Collins Turf Division, which is to design an outdoor asset that invigorates and elevates a community.
