Sheds and Outbuildings by Land Art Design, Inc. Land Art Design, Inc. recognizes the importance of functional outdoor space in life of your home. The recently developed "Sheds and Outbuildings" showcases the expertise and professionalism that we offer as a landscaping company throughout the greater Alexandria, Arlington, Bethesda and surrounding area. The describes the design and building process of custom sheds and outbuildings that were designed to serve the clients specific needs and usage in the Greater Washington area. We incorporated, high quality cedar wood that would withstand wear, provide natural beauty, and compliment the surrounding site. Pathways of locally sourced flagstone were designed using fabricated stone, that also provided elegant entrances. The property had steeping sloping terrain, and the design addressed the grade to build level foundations for the buildings. Retaining walls were built from natural boulders which stabilized the area and presented visual interest with the landscaping. The outcome is an aesthetically pleasing outdoor retreat that consists of an adorable potting shed with built-in shelves for gardening tools and a workshop that fits the clients hobby. The use of energy efficient skylights and glass created ample natural light throughout for ambiance and functionality. Overall the clients were pleased with the new and beautifully designed outbuildings that improved their ability to live outdoors, while providing ample space for storage.
