About This Project

Cape Cod Getaway by Land Design Associates, Inc. In the center of a quiet neighborhood, this by Land Design Associates, Inc. took a standard yard and transformed it into a beautiful escape, capturing the essence of life at the coast. Covering more than 2,500 square feet, the incorporates naturalistic elements with modern landscaping techniques to please our discerning client. Our job began with addressing the unique topography of the site and remedying complications related to the uneven grade and drainage issues. We organically inserted a series of raised beds of locally quarried bluestone to create stunning areas planted with seasonal blooms and edible crops. To enhance the coastal character of the design, we incorporated native plants, taking advantage of sea grasses and hydrangeas to connect sustainability with our desire to attract wildlife. At the center of the landscape, we constructed an extensive patio with durable and slip-resistant pavers that provides an ample space to host outdoor family gatherings. Adjacent to the patio, we crafted a fire pit with swings that provide a nice seating area to enjoy the summer evenings while watching the stars. Additional subtle low-voltage outdoor lighting illuminates the enchanted garden and highlights the beautifully designed landscape throughout night. Finally, we designed an innovative irrigation system, utilizing the site’s natural moisture and water supply to conserve water and maintain the client's desire for lush greenery doable for all seasons. Our careful choice of materials also addresses longevity, while ensuring the design blends cohesively with the aesthetic of the area. The final product is a stunning outdoor oasis that satisfied and exceeded the expectations of the client.
