Modern Cottage Backyard by Mooch Exterior Designs, Inc. Located in the expansive city of San Diego, is the 'Modern Cottage Backyard' by Mooch Exterior Designs, Inc.. This shows both cutting-edge design and skilled craftsmanship. Supporting Bonita, La Jolla, Chula Vista, and more, our team turned a simple outdoor space into an escape which combines modern themes with cottage feel. The started with a great conversation regarding the client's vision to have a backyard that felt cozy and modern. Our design team faced a challenging and sloped site, and to remedy this challenge, we used tiered landscaping. We strategically placed natural stone we sourced from a local quarry for the retaining walls, which was both structurally sound and environmentally conscious. The stone also lent an organic quality to the space and complemented the lush plants. The main feature of the backyard is a custom-built fire pit with accommodating seating ideal for evening get-togethers. We also incorporated various native and perennial plants that provide texture and color year-round, while also supporting local wildlife. Reclaimed wood was used for the raised vegetable planters, and we used eco-pavers to complete the client’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Pathways invite you to stroll through the garden creating a sense of calmness while enhancing the design aesthetic. Improved lighting highlighted areas in the backyard that were designed to be used both day and night. At completion, our clients were ecstatic how we transformed their backyard into a private escape from the urban atmosphere we all experience in daily life. The 'Modern Cottage Backyard' reflects Mooch Exterior Designs, Inc.'s focus on quality, detail, and landscape design concepts to truly elevate residential outdoor spaces.
