Lakefront by MT Carpenter Landscape Inc. Situated along a peaceful portion of a scenic lake, the 'Lakefront' by MT Carpenter Landscape Inc. transformed a backyard to change the traditional outdoor experience for its clients in the Minneapolis area. This design is an exquisite blend of administered natural elements which work with the mountain aesthetic while still fitting back into the property’s natural footprint. This incorporates combinations of native plants and bright perennials, selected because they thrive in this climate and provide year-round color and interest. The custom stone patio made of local bluestone is the main feature of the space, providing a resilient and beautiful space for entertaining and relaxation. A built-in fire pit, comprised of indigenous boulders, entices clients to warm up under the stars, and the thoughtfully-placed outdoor lighting creates exuberant ambiance and illuminates the brilliance of the garden at night. As always, MT Carpenter Landscape Inc. faced multiple challenges with this ; sloped terrain and differing soil conditions ranked among these. Our team was able to sustainably navigate these challenges by purposefully integrating a tiered garden bed that ultimately solved accessibility issues and provided exceptional visual beauty. The erosion control process was specific and careful in order to ensure a lasting landscape design while safeguarding the environment of the lake ecosystem. The client was very pleased with the final result, yielding a functional, attractive outdoor living space within the immersions of nature.
