Summary: Bex Residence by My Landscape Coach Located in the lively Albuquerque, Bex Residence illustrates the models and craftsmanship My Landscape Coach (formerly Brown, Green & More) puts into every it undertakes. The overall redesign of an outdoor space provided a thoughtful balance between function and aesthetics. The included a beautiful design that included a custom stone patio that provides an excellent location to bring family and friends together. Made from locally sourced flagstone, the patio is sturdy and blends beautifully into the natural landscape. Native drought-resistant plants were utilized around the patio, including desert marigolds and blue grama grass, so that the garden could flourish with little water as necessary in New Mexico. One of the main challenges was the uneven slope of the property that risked water runoff and erosion of the land. Our team successfully graded the landscape and provided an effective drainage system to divert the water away from the home while incorporating aesthetically pleasing boulders and decorative gravel pathways. A gorgeous water feature was also included in the a peaceful pond that not only added an element of tranquility, but also attracted local wildlife and further enriched the landscape ecosystem. Ambient lighting was also included to highlight the natural appeal of the landscape and to allow for an extended evening experience of the space. Upon completion, the Bex Residence surpassed the homeowner's expectations, transforming the outdoor space for relaxation and enjoyment. Detailed quality finishes, appropriate material selections and consideration put into designs resulted in a cohesive space of beauty and function. My Landscape Coach is honored to have created a design that pays homage to the land shaped by the spirit of the Southwest, while providing the Bex family with a rewarding outdoor recreation area for many years to come.
