Title: A Contemporary Garden by Forristt Landscape Design Set against the backdrop of sun-drenched California, 'A Contemporary Garden' by Forristt Landscape Design, which reimagines the modern garden. This dreamy modern garden combines a simple line, in a refreshing adjustment where plants are able to flourish side by side, designed to manifest the clients request for a chic yet seren retreat. Showcasing an impressive selection of native plants that are considered low water users and ideal for the California climate, the offers a distinctly curated palette. Stunning geometric stone paths, made of locally sourced basalt, provide elegance and lasting beauty against the lush ferns and ornamental grasses. Among the most difficult challenges we encountered during this was the variable topography at the site that required us to find creative ways dynamically grade to achieve the flat, welcoming space. This was done as we came across some natural boulders (we are located on a granite hill) that we wanted to incorporate back into the landscape to add an organic feel all the while creating accessible and useful tiered gardens and seating places. A new fountain of sortsa sleek reflecting poolhas been added and now takes center stage as the garden's spirit that resonates peacefully with the gentle ecosystem around it. The garden is designed to be transformed into an evening escape and ambient lighting has been well incorporated into the design. Forristt Landscape Design executed a beautiful outdoor space using high-caliber craftsmanship combined with no-frills carefulness they can masterfully manage, that not only meets but exceeds the client's vision. The result is a modern garden that successfully achieves the balance of aesthetics and nature and is the ideal venue for relaxation and entertainment. The thrilled clients reported being over the moon, saying their garden now feels not only like an extension of their home, but an oasis and truly a California dream.
