About This Project

Lafayette Residence Camp & Camp Associates-Landscape Architects worked its magic to give make Lafayette Residence into a natural garden that blends delicately with the surrounding scenic landscape in Lafayette. The involved a full landscape redesign with native plantings that support biodiversity and also require little maintenance for the owners. Flagstone pathways and a huge Granite patio were laid out as part of the design that was focal for hardscape. The site had a bit of a slope to it and we resolved that with terracing planting beds, as well as a calming water feature for visual and audible interest of moving water. We selected sustainable materials like reclaimed wood for raised garden beds to complement the home’s modern architecture while being mindful of the surrounding natural environment. We carefully researched and chose other plants that are resistant to drought and have flowers during different seasons so our home has color all year round but uses very little water. This ended up with a beautiful and functional outdoor space that made the homeowners happy and enriched the character of the neighborhood in Lafayette. From outdoor dining room to the fire pit and verdant gardens of the Lafayette Residence, the work of Camp & Camp Associates speaks of quality and creative landscape architecture.
