Backyard Remodel - Sherwood Landscape Lighting and Design Sherwood Landscape Lighting and Design is pleased to share the 'Backyard Remodel', a beautiful transformation of our clients' outdoor living space in Mount Laurel. It was a collaborative and inventive outdoor retreat, with functionality infused into a natural setting, during which we faced an array of challenges. We began our process by carefully evaluating the existing landscapes which had a hilly, uninviting space, and limited usable areas. Our clients envisioned a multi-use outdoor space and we defined our goals in our outdoor area with a custom stone patio, perfect for entertaining, and a communal fire pit area surrounded by plantings for more intimate gatherings. We chose a high-quality natural stone for the patio to complement their home while providing longevity with beauty. To maximize our aesthetic and functionality we added a winding pathway of permeable pavers, allowing for efficient water drainage, while inviting guests to explore the garden. This winding area was framed with a variety of perennial flowers, add colors and textures throughout the season. The clients also requested the slope we had to design with, so we provided tiered planting beds, both stabilizing the slope and providing additional visual beauty. Lighting was a significant part of the , and with our team of experts in landscape lighting, we were able to strategically place LED landscape lighting that highlighted the trees, significant plantings, and the newer seating area. This not only gave the clients the option to enjoy their outdoor space during the evening, but also added safety and security. The final result was an amazing outdoor oasis that exceeded our clients' expectations, providing an outdoor area to blend relaxation with entertaining, and increasing their overall property value, reflecting their lifestyle, beautifully!
