About This Project

The Hacienda Del Sol project in the Catalina Foothills, AZ, transformed an already breathtaking home into an extraordinary outdoor living space, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The project began with the expansion of key areas along the back perimeter, allowing for a seamless integration of outdoor features that elevate the overall experience. A striking new steel fence was installed to provide an elegant touch of privacy, while also enhancing the Mediterranean-inspired design. In the heart of the outdoor area, the pool and spa received a luxurious makeover, refinished with a sophisticated black pebble sheen that glistens under the Arizona sun. Accented with vibrant purple tiles and surrounded by opulent gold travertine, the space is further enhanced by three captivating water features and flanking fire bowls that add an element of warmth and ambiance. To break up the existing rock retaining slope, a beautifully curved seat wall was introduced, thoughtfully designed with strategic planting pockets that are filled with architectural desert species, ensuring a harmonious blend with the natural surroundings. An elevated seating area was created, providing a perfect vantage point for enjoying the stunning views of the city lights, while a long, curved fire pit invites relaxation and social gatherings. The newly expanded colored concrete hardscape significantly enhances the usability of the patio, creating versatile spaces for entertaining and leisure. Additionally, a touch of synthetic grass was incorporated, softening the overall look and providing a low-maintenance green element that complements the arid landscape. The result is a meticulously crafted outdoor oasis that harmonizes luxury with functionality, inviting residents and guests alike to indulge in the serene beauty of their surroundings. This project not only elevates the home’s exterior but also enhances the overall lifestyle experience, making it a true gem in the heart of the desert.
