Set in beautiful Ventura, the scope of the was to maximize the outdoor living experience while considering both function and visual engagement. The Court Ave incorporated a well-designed blend of landscape featuring multiple native California plants, minimally using water and providing habitat for local wildlife. Drought-tolerant plants were utilized in our selection including lavender, succulents, and ornamental grasses, and the garden featured color and texture during all seasons. Custom stone pathways, of regional flagstone pavers, provided conventional flow through the garden while adding a durable and nice appearance. One challenge of the site was the topographic play of the property. Our experienced team leveled the site, and took the opportunity to build tiered landscape beds for, both, better draining and visual interest. Additional site infrastructure included a new irrigation system that uses the best in irrigation technology to properly distribute water for healthy plant growth, and sustainability. Arguably the most exciting area of the is the outdoor area designed around a custom fire pit and seating area for gatherings with family and after-hours relaxing. Soft landscape lights were involved to landscape lights to convert the aesthetic in use of the garden after dusk. The client is so excited the transformation and expressed satisfaction with the newly functional space and additional aesthetic appeal. Not only was delivered a combination of premium products and skilled workmanship, but the plants have a long-lasting character while being sustainable for outdoor maintenance.
