About This Project

Lee Residence - A Dry-Layout Landscape by Land Architect Studio Located in North Atlanta, the Lee Residence is a true reflection of creativity and ability demonstrated by Land Architect Studio. The re-imagined a traditional suburban lawn into an inviting outdoor living space of beauty, elegance, and usability. Our design team painstakingly chose a variety of native plants for people's interactions that nurture the yard; And all plants are addions that will fit in with native plants. Additional highlights include a beautiful stone path, made from locally sourced flagstone stone, that meanders through the lush gardens and into a secluded lounge area outside. The custom-built cedar planters, although rustic, offer a classy framing element to the radiant colors of the blooms complement the modern architecture of the home. An interesting and perhaps one of the biggest concerns was the uneven ground, which we solved by utilizing a tiered garden system to create visual interest and manage way access to the gardens. The use of permeable materials for the patio and walkways would also further demonstrate our commitment to improving the environment, as rain water percolates through the hard surface and allows water to bid its time before re-joining the ground. The final outcome is a cohesive outdoor living space for our clients' enjoyment and quality of life. Places to gather and lounge are outfitted and conducive to family and friends enjoying time outdoors, while the lighting and form tend to the elevated experience of evening gatherings. The Lee Residence is one of our best s; we are proud of our design and continued dedication to quality and craftsmanship and design for our clients and proud to showcase the work it created, as well as the work we do with clients across Atlanta and her neighborhoods.
