Located in the scenic Frederick County, Poole's Stone and Garden, Inc. has turned the 'Stone Walls & Veneers' into a stunning outdoor space that balances outdoor beauty with nature's surroundings for a client. Serving clients from Adamstown to Walkersville, we were able to use stone sourced locally to build beautiful and sturdy retaining walls for the client's outdoor space to wonderfully complement the surrounding property while serving a critical purpose against soil erosion. The went into a variety of materials, such as select fieldstone, bluestone veneers, and flagstone pathways, which were thoughtful selections in coordination with the existing architecture and landscape. Our team of professionals encountered a challenge in the process for a relatively flat and uneven surface while determining proper drainage which was designed to redirect water in a controlled flow opposite to intended, while stabilizing the elegant stone with underpinning soil material due to the disturbance of construction. What developed was a chess piece of art and operational delivery. The stone walls provide a dramatic backdrop screaming with charm, draped with the gardens now adjusted to landscape beauty fashionable down to the crafted stone den for privacy from the road and sense of enclosure. The client was elated the natural stone moved as if it had always existed.
