The Specialty job consisted of a completely new residential landscape design focusing on finding an ideal balance between function and beauty. We began with a thorough consultation to determine the client's vision, preferences, and site-specific attributes. We incorporated many quality materials, including locally-sourced stone for pathway edging and patio spaces, to help add visual interest to the overall landscape while ensuring that the materials would be durable. Native plants, chosen for their low maintenance values and benefits to the environment and plants, were carefully selected. Additionally, we incorporated lush perennials and annuals for variety and color in three seasons of the year. Lastly, in the design we expertly placed a gorgeous water feature of natural boulders that flowed seamlessly into the landscaping while providing a tranquil focal point and inviting area to enjoy. The Specialty revealed certain challenges, including an elevated existing grade within the perimeter of the property and drainage issues within the site. Our professional team's expertise observed and outlined a carefully planned grading method and drainage system, ensuring success to not only sustain the landscape but also allow healthy plant growth. In the end, the Specialty transformed and enhanced the client's outdoor area into an inviting oasis that far exceeded their expectations. The thought-out layout of landscape along with the expertly selected plant material and materials combined resulted in a beautiful, functional, and sustainable landscape.
