Andover, MA House Landscape Renovation Sallie Hill Design, Landscape Architect, presents the 'Andover, MA House Landscape Renovation,' a redesign that updates the outdoor living space of a lovely home. The , set in a charming landscape in Andover, MA, represents our design quality and innovation. Prior to the landscape renovation, our design team completed a thorough examination of the existing landscape to determine where the landscape needed to be improved upon. A slope combined with areas of shaded sun meant that landscape elements needed to be designed carefully. Working with the sloped sites, we added a series of tiers for planting beds and hardscaping to define the garden. We selected locally-sourced stone to develop nice-looking retaining walls that improved landscaping visuals while providing planting support. To add more heart and functionality, we included a curvilinear path of permeable pavers that was good for the environment and allowed for bioabsorption. This path leads to a beautiful outdoor seating area with a firepit surrounded by natural boulders that allows for outside enjoyment all year long. We selected a combination of native plants including flowering perennials and ornamental grasses, for continuous interest all year while providing support for wildlife. The end result is a beautiful landscape that combines aesthetics and sustainability that our clients were happy with. The Andover landscape renovation increased the curb appeal of the home, as well as gave the owners a calming environment for family gatherings and the outdoors.
