The Pershing Lofts project reimagines a historic 1917 building, originally the Sweeney School, into a modern residential masterpiece that seamlessly blends the charm of its industrial past with contemporary living. Nestled in a prime location at the foot of Liberty Memorial and opposite Union Station, the site offers breathtaking views in every direction, enhancing the allure of the residences. The LSID team undertook a comprehensive design overhaul, focusing on the lobby, common areas, corridors, and fitness room, while also furnishing several model units to showcase the potential of the space. The design choices made throughout the project reflect a commitment to preserving the building's original character while introducing modern elegance. Exposed structural elements were thoughtfully integrated into the apartments and corridors, emphasizing the impressive volume of the spaces and creating a unique aesthetic that honors the building’s industrial heritage.
