Nestled in New Kent, it was designed to be an outdoor area for family gatherings or just winding down in the evening. We started with an extensive site analysis, allowing our team to understand where the fire pit should go to complement the existing landscape. Our choice of materials was also key, so we used high-quality, durable materials, like natural stone sourced locally for the fire pit structure itself and a custom granite tabletop, all of which is not only expertly crafted but also provides beauty as well as an everlasting feel. Instead of a signature fireplace, the owner's designed a circular fire pit with polished stone seats where guests can warm themselves around and converse. An element of this that proved challenging was to incorporate the fire pit into the garden that was already established amidst the existing context of native planting and mature trees. Our exemplary landscapers maneuvered the root systems to keep as much disruption as possible while maintaining and preserving the beauty of nature throughout the process. We also had great drainage solutions in place to make sure it continues to be functional and won't be flooded with water after rain. And once completed, it was a gorgeous fire pit area that provides not just a useful gathering place, but an attractive formation of the land. With the green surroundings and firelight blending in together it makes for an enchanting atmosphere that makes this optional for evening gatherings. Our clients are very excited with the end result and are enjoying the new feature which has now become the focal point of their outdoor living space.
