Living Spaces by Kimberly Located in the heart of the Greater Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area, the “Living Spaces” at Living Spaces By Kimberly took an underused backyard and provided a beautiful and functional outdoor room. The had an extraordinary amount of design build landscaping elements with the natural stone patio taking center stage for outside entertainment. Utilizing a premium bluestone and locally sourced granite, our team was able to offer an attractive durable surface that can withstand the region's four seasons. As part of the landscape design plan, surrounding the patio area were perennial gardens that utilized native plants, which offered aesthetic and biological diversity. Flowering shrubs, ornamental grasses, and seasonal flowers were selected for the plants for year-round interest in the landscape. One of the most challenging aspects of the was working with the slope of the yard for the gardens. Our landscape architect designed the gardens to be tiered to provide flat usable space along with new reclaimed wood for walls to prevent erosion. The end result for the design was functional as well as a rustic practical style that pairs well with the home. The final left our client ecstatic. The yard that guests frequented but had previously ignored was now a gathering retreat for friends or night-time resting under the stars. The outdoor lights placed in the hillsides also added charm to the space at night. Living Spaces By Kimberly is proud of the for meeting the clients' functional needs but elevating their lifestyle.
