"Norma and Ed" by Garden To Life Landscaping Ideally located on hills of Aptos, the 'Norma and Ed' landscaping has been developed with utmost care at Garden To Life Landscaping LLC to create a peaceful haven. A carefully crafted landscape with a mix of native flora, colorful blooms, and green infrastructure, exemplifies an ethos of ecologically sound design. We started with an indepth consultation with Norma and Ed to get an understanding of their ideas for an outdoor oasis. Among the most notable features throughout the property is the masterfully designed stone pathway made from locally sourced flagstone that traverses the backyard and leads guests through bountiful flower beds and seating areas. The fence with climbing vines was custom made out of cedar to enhance privacy and create a relaxing atmosphere. The sloping terrain of this made it difficult as there was a need to find affordable & innovative drainage solutions to avoid erosion and pooling. The solution to the drainage problem and adding curb appeal was a tiered garden design with retaining walls tastefully built. Our teams meticulously brought this vision to life. We also added a drip irrigation system which should help the garden grow but not waste water. The end result is a stunning outdoor environment that embodies the couple's passion for the outdoors and the beauty of nature. With colorful blooms of the perennial flower beds CGR bought and placed in the space and the sound of a small water feature, this makes for a lovely retreat Norma and Ed will enjoy all year long.
